"I am a 50-year-old woman who has suffered from yo-yo dieting and a general aversion to exercise for most of my life. However, to celebrate my 50th birthday I wanted to hike the Inca Trail in Peru ending in Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Great Wonders of the World. Five months before my planned trip, I contacted Madeline to train me specially for the trip. Despite my doubts, she promised me I would be ready if I committed to her training program, which would start out with a once-per week (each) strength training, stair climbing and hiking. Gradually we added long distance hikes that worked up to higher elevations. I was amazed at how easily Madeline worked my physical abilities up to doing things I never imagined I could do. (I'm talking push-ups here and 10-mile hikes at nearly 10,000 foot elevations!) Because of Madeline's diverse training regimen, I hiked the Peruvian Andes (13,790 foot elevation) and ended up at Machu Picchu on my 50th birthday! I couldn't have done it without Madeline and her kind, supportive and creative training approach. I continue to work out with her today, and am now training for a rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon in April. Life doesn't get any better than this! With Madeline's help, I am in the best shape of my life."
